New and ongoing road work will impact four sections of three roadways in South Kitsap this week.
A new project has been added by Kitsap County Public Works this week. Either Monday or Tuesday next week, a contract will be removing a tree on Beach Drive E. The county said drivers should expect intermittent delays, some up to 19 minutes in the immediate vicinity of the work.
Will will continue through the month on Fairview Lake Road SW and Joy Lane SW as Puget Sound Energy crews continue installing underground electrical vaults along that stretch of roadway. Flaggers will assist motorists through the work area.
Puget Sound Energy also is replacing transmission poles on Banner Road SE between SE Sedgwick Road and SE Willock Road. The work will take place Monday through Fridays through January. Flaggers also will be onsite to direct traffic.
On Beach Drive E., between Hillcrest Drive and Woods Road, crews are doing seawall maintenance on Monday through Friday next week.
Long Lake Road between Salmonberry and Lakeview will be closed until further notice as crews work to remove fallen trees from transmission lines due to stormy conditions this week.Road work the week of Dec. 14
