This Thursday, the Kitsap Historical Society and Museum is offering its “Speaker Series” to the public and members of the museum. Retired Navy Captain Sandra Smith will discuss the challenges and accomplishments of women serving in the military over the last 45 years. Smith graduated from University of Washington in 1968.

A reception will begin at 6 p.m., and the program will begin at 6:30 p.m. Reservations are encouraged. The cost is $10 for the general public and $5 for KHSM members.
