POULSBO — After a warm week of sunshine, the weekend brought April showers and the opening of the Poulsbo Farmers Market in a new location: the Poulsbo Parks and Recreation parking lot, 19540 Front St. NE.
Despite light drizzle and chill early April 2, a steady crowd ebbed and flowed through the 30 some booths offering fresh produce, homemade jams and jellies, arts and crafts, and food.
With the chill, one of the most popular booths was the Peninsula Pies Pizza tent with its 800-degree wood-fired oven. Ninety percent of the ingredients for the pizzas are purchased from local growers, many of whom had nearby booths at the Farmers Market.
