BREMERTON — Another in a series of early morning flight deck drills has been scheduled for Aug. 21-25 at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Naval Base Kitsap in Bremerton.

The drills will begin at approximately 3:30 a.m. and finish midday, according to the Stennis’s public affairs office.

“Increased activity and lighting may be observed from locations with a view of the ship,” the office reported in a news release. “Flight deck alarms and announcements related to the drill will also be audible.”

These flight deck operations drills are to prepare sailors for day and night operations in preparation for a return to sea following the maintenance period at PSNS.
