Still lots to do this holiday season in the north end

Holiday events planned for the remainder of December.

KINGSTON — The light display at Mike Wallace Park was something to see Nov. 30.

Crowds of people turned out for the tree lighting ceremony, photos with Santa, music by Kingston students, and food and drinks. Though the ceremony and entertainment was one day only, there’s still plenty of time to go see the light display.

The lights will be on in the evening through December.

The following is a list of other holiday activities in North Kitsap:

Kingston

Children’s Scavenger Hunt

Dec. 21, 5-7 p.m.: Kingston Adventures owner Beth Brewster and her staff will lead a Scavenger Hunt at Mike Wallace Park. The event is free and open to children 14 and younger. A prize drawing will be held for children who complete the “I Spy” form.

Port Gamble

Port Gamble Country Christmas

Dec. 14-15, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.: wagon rides with Santa, tree lighting, fireworks, Santa’s workshop, fruitcake contest.More than 100,000 lights will be on display.

Hansville

Childrens Christmas Party

Dec. 19, 7 p.m.: at the Greater Hansville Community Center. Santa will arrive on a fire truck. Celebration includes a marionette performance geared for small children. Free.

Christmas Concert

Dec. 22, 2 p.m.: at the Greater Hansville Community Center. Come sing carols with your neighbors. A concert with the Hometown Band. Bring a canned good for the local food bank.

New years eve bingo

Dec. 31, doors open at 5:30 p.m.: at the Greater Hansville Community Center, games end at 10 p.m. Pizza slices will be for sale.
