KINGSTON — The Stillwaters Marine Education: Shoreline Eco-Cruise is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. July 17, departing from the Kingston Marina. The exact location will be given to registrants.

Discover the shoreline from the water. Stillwaters is delving into the reason why the health of Puget Sound is at risk and by taking people out on the water.

On the four-hour tour with Paul Dorn, fisheries biologist for the Suquamish Tribe, and Betsy Cooper, marine biologist, participants will encounter the nearshore: the geologic formations, and the critters who live there, to discuss how it is impacted by humans. Hands-on activities could include plankton tows and bottom sampling. Cost is $40 each or $60 per couple, or parent and child. Register soon as space is limited.

Tours are open to anyone 12 and older, however, anyone between the ages of 12 and 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

For more information or to pre-register, call 360-297-1226, e-mail  info@stillwatersenvironmentalcenter.org, or go to www.stillwatersenvironmentalcenter.org.
