The Port Gamble Summer Faire is set to take place Aug. 13 from noon to 5 p.m.
Bring your family and furry family members for a fun-filled afternoon of activities, shopping, live music and even some interesting animals. Rescue Every Dog and the Kitsap Humane Society will be there.
Kid’s Zone at the Port Gamble playground is back, and there will be sidewalk chalk to decorate the concrete surfaces. Kona Ice, Taste Da Boot, Petal Drops (face painting), Bainbridge Event Rentals (bouncy houses), and more also will be there.
Summer Faire will be held in conjunction with Raptor Rhapsody, an event hosted by West Sound Wildlife Shelter, along with live music from local artists Mykey Haslip, Triple Horse Carousel, Hot Spring Water and James Hunnicutt.

The Raptor Rhapsody will be at the Port Gamble Pavilion Aug. 13 from 1-3 p.m. Barred owls, a red-tail hawk, an American kestrel, a peregrine falcon and a turkey vulture are coming. Maritime music
The Port Gamble Maritime Music Festival lands ashore Aug. 12. Do you love sea shanties, live music and pirate-themed fun? Set ye compass to Port Gamble for this unique event.
Enjoy maritime music from noon to 5 p.m. The festival presents the cream of the Northwest maritime music scene, plus some more far-flung guests nationwide. The festival promotes the legacy of maritime music from all corners of the globe. For details go to www.portgamblemaritimemusic.com.
Weddings galore
Port Gamble Weddings & Events continues to break wedding records in 2023 and 2024. It’s had a record-breaking 103 weddings booked for 2023, a minimum of three more in the pipeline, and it’s only August. The previous record since 2002 was 100 in 2009. And it is already nearing its goal for 2024, but still have some summer Fridays and Sundays available. Ghostly stuff
The 14th Annual Port Gamble Ghost Conference is planned for Nov. 10-12 at the Historic Theater and Hood Canal Vista Pavilion in Port Gamble.
The Ghost Conference offers speakers from the Northwest and across the country. We are also offering classes, workshops and a Psychic Gallery Reading throughout the weekend as well as investigations in some of Port Gamble’s hot spots of paranormal activity like the Walker-Ames House.

You can also take a walk on the spooky side of Port Gamble this summer and fall. The Ghost Walk season starts early October however there are some summer dates, including Aug. 11.
