SUQUAMISH — Three Port Orchard suspects believed to be using two-way radios to coordinate burglaries were arrested Tuesday by Suquamish Police.
A Laura Loop Road resident called police at 9:22 a.m. Tuesday after returning home and seeing two men inside of her house, and a woman in a white Honda outside, according to a police news release. The men fled from the back of the house and were picked up by the woman in the Honda.
Suquamish Police arrived and used cars to block the Honda from pulling onto State Route 305. The woman tried to drive around the police cars and stuck the Honda in a ditch. The three suspects were arrested at gunpoint.
According to the release, police found “burglary tools,” burnt spoons and controlled substances in the car. They also found two-way radios, which police believe the suspects were using to communicate during burglaries.
Valuables from the residence, including a computer and jewelry, were returned to the homeowner.
The three suspects were all from Port Orchard, were booked into Kitsap County jail. A 30-year-old man was booked for residential burglary and possession of burglary tools. A 26-year-old man was booked for burglary, possession of burglary tools and drug possession. A 25-year-old woman, who police say was carrying a knife, was booked for residential burglary and carrying a dangerous weapon.
