Suquamish Renewal Pow-Wow, ‘Celebrating Healthy Lifestyles,’ is April 1 and 2 at Suquamish

The annual Suquamish Renewal Pow-Wow, “Celebrating Healthy Lifestyles,” is April 1 and 2 at 15838 Sandy Hook Road, off Highway 305 on the Suquamish reservation. The event is open to the public. The event opens April 1 at 5 p.m. with a dinner followed by Coastal Gathering. April 2, the grand entry is at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m., with dinner at 5 p.m.

Host drum is White Lodge from Mandaree, N.D. Master of ceremonies is Francis James. Arena director is Sonny Eagle Speaker. Head Man is Gerald Brien. Head Woman is Toreasia Woods.

Other features: Jackpot dancing in all categories, royalty pageant, sobriety honoring, and a hand drum contest.
