Kitsap County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 45-year-old Bremerton man Tuesday who is allegedly involved in numerous local crimes including kidnapping, second-degree assault and possession of more than 40 grams of marijuana with intent to sell.
The suspect, Robery Roy Pry, has been “heavily involved” in methamphetamine distribution, according to law enforcement officers, and he allegedly kidnapped a 19-year-old girl outside Jimmy D’s Restaurant in Gorst in September because she had stolen 3.5 grams of methamphetamine from him.
Pry allegedly punched the girl’s boyfriend and told her to get into Pry’s white Camaro.
He allegedly emptied the victim’s purse and took $140 from her wallet, and told the victim he wanted to kill her for stealing from him.
He allegedly took the girl to a church parking lot, beat her up and choked her until she nearly passed out.
Then, he allegedly took her to a house where he told her that he was going to tattoo “thief and liar” on her face and forehead, and he showed her the tattoo gun.
He brought her into a bathroom and said that he was going to cut off her long hair to make an example of her for stealing from him. She was allegedly very upset and asked to cut her hair off herself. She was having trouble doing it, though, and he eventually did it for her.
Deputies found a videotape of the incident, which shows the girl crying as she cut her hair.
“I’m doing the best I can, letting you do it,” Pry said. “Is it worth some of the stuff you do?”
Deputies also found more than $4,000 in cash and an assortment of drugs and drug paraphernalia at Pry’s residence. They believe Pry sells methamphetamine that comes from Mexican suppliers.
Pry is also a Level 1 registered sex offender, who was accused of third-degree statutory rape in 1985.
He failed to register at his new address after moving from the Chico area of Central Kitsap to the 8300 block of Sandy Road NE in East Bremerton.
Pry has “an extensive criminal history,” according to the sheriff’s office, including 11 felony convictions.
He was arrested at his home Tuesday evening and booked into jail on charges of first-degree kidnapping, first-degree robbery, second-degree assault, unlawful imprisonment and several narcotics offenses.
He was later charged with failure to register as a sex offender, with a $25,000 bail amount.
Pry’s bail was initially set at $750,000, but it was reduced to $500,000.
During an interview with deputies, he told them that he didn’t have methamphetamine at his residence and does not deal methamphetamine, although he is a user.
