Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office deputies and detectives are investigating a home invasion robbery that occurred last week in South Kitsap.

Deputy Scott Wilson, KCSO spokesman, said it occurred at approximately 2:03 a.m. Feb. 6, on Bethel Burley Road. He said an adult female at a residence reported that two men forced entry into the home, held her down and searched the house before leaving.

No one was seriously injured.

According to the victim’s report, Wilson said she and a friend had returned to the house in early evening. The woman reported around 2 a.m. that she heard pounding on the front door and she thought it was her friend and opened the door.

When she unlocked the door, two unidentified male suspects forced their way inside. The victim reported that she was pushed down onto to the floor and held there by one of the suspects with his boot on her chest, according to the report.

Wilson said the victim could only provide brief, vague descriptions due to darkness inside the home. She described one suspect as about 6 foot tall and the other was shorter with a medium build. The victim said both men were wearing dark-colored clothing and that their faces were covered.

A search of the residence afterward revealed that nothing appeared to have been taken.

Wilson said the suspects ran from the victims’ residences and property on foot. A sheriff’s K-9 team was deployed and K-9 tracks were initiated. Indications from the tracking K-9, along with evidence at the scene, revealed that the suspects had vehicles positioned nearby that were used to leave the area.
