Teen injured after vehicle crashes into Kingston home

A 17-year-old man was transported to a local hospital and a West Kingston Road home suffered significant damage when the teen apparently lost control of the vehicle he was driving, rolled over a guard rail and crashed into a structure Nov. 10.

The home’s occupants were not injured, a North Kitsap Fire & Rescue news release says. Deputies from the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office are investigating.

NKF&R crews were called to a one-vehicle rollover crash at 10:44 p.m. near West Kingston’s intersection with South Kingston Road. Initial reports were that the driver was trapped inside the full-sized pickup that had landed on its top, after striking a home and an adjacent parked car.

The first fire units arrived less than five minutes after dispatch, and found that the driver had freed himself from the vehicle. Crews called for air transport, but helicopters’ projected arrival time was 45 – 60 minutes so the young man was transported to St. Michael Medical Center in Silverdale.
