A teenage female died and an 18-year-old male was hospitalized following a single-vehicle collision in the 700 block of SE Pine Road in unincorporated Port Orchard, per the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the scene just before midnight July 17th and found a 2007 Subaru Impreza flipped over and resting on its top. Both the driver and passenger were extricated from the vehicle by South Kitsap Fire and Rescue. The female was later declared deceased. Her age was not immediately available, per KCSO.

A witness reported seeing the vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed before becoming airborne and striking several trees. The driver showed no initial signs of impairment. An investigation into the cause is underway.
