The Road Report | Roadwork scheduled this week and beyond

Kitsap County Public Works has identified several road projects that will impact traffic this week and beyond in South Kitsap:

Ongoing – SE Southworth Drive

(between SE Olympiad Drive to 500′ south)

This road closes Sept. 21 for up to eight weeks as part of the Harper Estuary Restoration Project.

New – Glenwood Road SW

(between SW JH Road and SW Wildwood Road)

Sound Excavation, Inc. begins Phase 1 of this project Oct. 3. Traffic will be restricted to one lane, with a pilot car guiding traffic around the work area. Expect significant delays of up to 15 minutes in the vicinity of the work.

New – Estonia Court  SE

(off Sedgwick Road-SR 160)

County crews are replacing stormwater piping here all week. Expect moderate delays of up to 10 minutes in the vicinity of the work. Flaggers will direct motorists around the work.

Updated – Side approach work at various locations in South KitsapCounty crews are completing side-approach work at several locations in South Kitsap this week. Expect short delays of up to 5 minutes in the vicinity of the work at these locations:

– Jackson Avenue SE between Salmonberry and SR 160

– Lund Avenue between Madrona and Jackson- Bethel Burley Road between Burley Olalla and PineUpdated

– E Main Street / E Madrone Avenue

(from the intersection of Beach Drive E. and Spring Street E. to Alaska Avenue)

A contractor continues work here from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Traffic will be detoured around the work. Plan for significant delays. Use alternate routes when possible to avoid delays. This project is scheduled to be completed by Oct. 10.
