Theresa “Terry” Anne Rodgers of Poulsbo, formerly of Ledyard, Conn., passed away March 25, 2011, surrounded by her family. She was 85.

Born Dec. 10, 1925, in Readville, Mass., to Breda and Michael Devine. Moved to Connecticut after marrying her husband, Eugene Rodgers, who predeceased her in 1998.

Survived by her children, Theresa Zook of Suwannee, Ga., Sandy Dearborn of Lebanon, Conn., Debbie Rodgers of Poulsbo, Gene Rodgers Jr. of Medfield, Mass., Patricia Rodgers of Poulsbo.

Theresa was also the loving grandmother of Anthony, Candiss, Theresa, Tandy, Tracy, Toby, Tisha, Justin, Brian, Jackie, Kelly, Buck, Sandy and Tess; proud great-grandmother of 20 with several more expected this year.

She had a fun loving spirit, a contagious laugh and was beautiful to everyone that knew her. She had a special knack for making everyone around her feel special. Theresa loved spending time with her family and would travel back to the East Coast to visit several times a year. She was an avid Bingo player.

Theresa was predeceased by her siblings, Thomas, Marguerite, William, Helen, Catherine, Kevin, Gerald and Mary.

Rest in peace, Mom. We love you.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on March 30 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 4215 Pine Road NE, Bremerton. Contact Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home of Bremerton for services.

A memorial service at St. Anne’s in Readville is planned later this spring.
