ROAD ADVISORIES
— The state Department of Transportation warns North Kitsap residents to be aware of ice on roads. Overnight freezing temperatures will likely cause wet roadways to turn to ice. The state Department of Transportation urges drivers to use caution and drive for conditions, especially those behind the wheel of large trucks and buses.
— The National Weather Service has issued an ice storm warning for Kitsap, Grays Harbor, King, Lewis, Mason, Pierce, Snohomish, and Thurston counties until noon Thursday. Roads in certain areas continue to be treacherous. Heavy wet snow may cause tree limbs or power lines to come down, resulting in power outages. Report any downed power lines or power outages to Puget Sound Energy, (888) 225-5773. Also, heavy amounts of snow resting on roofs or tree limbs could result in injury, so keep aware of your surroundings. Stay safe and drive carefully.
