Tour de Kitsap set for July 28

Tour de Kitsap cyclists will have the opportunity to experience scenic mountain views

West Sound Cycle Club will host its 20th Annual Tour de Kitsap on July 28 as part of Whaling Days taking place in Silverdale from July 26-28.

Tour de Kitsap cyclists will have the opportunity to experience scenic mountain views and shoreline routes that travel through towns and waterfront communities around the Kitsap Peninsula.

The WSCC and Visit Kitsap Peninsula are promoting the event as a weekend getaway to attract out-of area cyclists and visitors to spend the night to enjoy Whaling Days festivities and other events happening around the Kitsap Peninsula.

The Tour de Kitsap includes 33 and 73 mile rides that offer routes suitable for the entire family family and more challenging routes for experienced cyclists.

Sign-in and start locations are in Silverdale at the Kitsap Credit Union on Myhre Road and at the ferry terminal in downtown Bremerton. Both routes will have hosted food and rests stops.

Sponsor for the event is Harrison Medical Center.

Register by July 18 to receive a free T-shirt.
