Travel a world of stories at the library | Check It Out | June

Our Summer Reading Program for youth ages 1 to 17 begins on June 11. Join us in a special kickoff event on  June 15. Drop in any time from 1-4 p.m. to celebrate the “One World, Many Stories” theme. We’ll have crafts from around the world and drawings for books and other fun prizes. Sign up for our summer reading program and receive a free bag.  After reading 10 hours this summer, youth will receive a free paperback book and, while they last, a ticket to the County Fair.

Storytime for Little Ones will be Wednesdays on June 15, 22, and 29 at 11 a.m.  Bring your children ages 2-6 to join Emily for stories and fun.

Teens can come to the Henna Tattoos for Teens program on June 29 from 1-3 p.m. Whimsy Face Painting artist Heidi Bennett will apply henna tattoo art.  Permission slips are required.  Pre-register at (360) 297-3330.

The Kingston Book Group will meet Wednesday, June 1, at 10:30 a.m. to discuss “The Help” by Kathryn Stockett.

Our Classics Book Group will discuss “The Hunchback of Notre Dame by Victor Hugo on June 20, at 6:30 p.m.

Save the date of July 16 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for our Kingston Friends of the Library Book Sale at the Kingston Farmers Market next to the Kingston ferry terminal.

Let the library staff know if you’d like to see a change in Saturday hours at the Kingston Library. We are requesting input from the public.

Here are the Little Boston Library events for June:

One World Many Stories celebration for youth will be held June 14.  Drop in from 1-4 p.m.

The Little Boston Book Group meets  June 1 at 11 a.m. to discuss “The Big Burn: Teddy Roosevelt and the fire that saved America” by Timothy Egan.

Crafternoons are held  Wednesdays at 2 p.m.

An Altered Books program will be held  June 10, from 2-4 p.m. Turn a book into a work of art.  Register by calling (360) 297-2670.

Geocaching for Teens will be June 28, 1-4 p.m. Explore the world around you by joining us in this special geocaching event.  Register at (360) 297-2670.

Storytimes for Little Ones are Tuesdays at 11a.m. — June 14, 21, and 28.  Especially for ages 2 to 6.
