PORT ORCHARD — The Tremont Street widening construction project has created some delays to Kitsap Transit routes in Port Orchard.
The transit agency said that riders should anticipate longer delays to routes in the area, including Route 4-Tremont, Route 5-Sidney and the Purdy Connection.
Route 4 will continue its detour, Kitsap Transit reported June 1, traveling Kitsap Boulevard, Pottery Avenue, May Street and Roland Avenue.
All departures of the Purdy Connection will depart five minutes earlier from Port Orchard Ferry Dock.
The agency reminded riders to add extra time to their trip, especially if they are making a ferry or bus connection. The changes became effective June 1.
