Two Gamblewood residents arrested for making marijuana

GAMBLEWOOD — Two Gamblewood residents were arrested Thursday for manufacturing marijuana.

Kitsap County Sheriff’s deputies executed a search warrant in on 288th street after an ongoing investigation, netting a 20-year-old woman and a 58-year-old man, both of whom are charged with manufacturing marijuana, according to a Kitsap County Sheriff’s press release. The man also is charged with possession of methamphetamine. She is being held at the Kitsap County Jail on $25,000 bail, while his is set at $50,000.

Deputies, with the assistance of the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, found 32 marijuana plants, marijuana packaged for sale, weight scales, paraphernalia and “written documentation pertaining to distribution,” the press release stated.

Deputies also found four firearms and a rifle that had been reported stolen during the search.

In addition, a 2-year-old — the daughter of the 20-year-old — was removed from the woman’s residence and placed in protective custody.
