Officials with the Kitsap Public Health District announced another two confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Kitsap County Sunday afternoon.
The two new cases were among patients described as a Bremerton area resident in their 50s and a Central Kitsap area resident in their 40s. The announcement on Sunday brings the total number of confirmed cases in Kitsap County to five. Both individuals are in isolation and health officials are working to quickly notify anyone who has been in close contact with the individuals.
Health officials also noted that 94 tests have returned negative for Kitsap County residents.
Last Sunday KPHD announced the first case of COVID-19 in Kitsap, the individual was described as a Bainbridge Island Resident in their 70s. Just days later, a second Bainbridge resident, in their 60s, tested positive for the virus. On Friday, health officials again stated that another case had been confirmed for a South Kitsap Resident in their 40s.
