Two reportedly injured in rear-end collision

Two people were taken to Harrison Medical Center after a rear-end collision at State Highway 307 and Rova Road, Nov. 18 at 1:07 p.m.

POULSBO — Two people were taken to Harrison Medical Center after a rear-end collision at State Highway 307 and Rova Road, Nov. 18 at 1:07 p.m.

Washington State Patrol reported that Zachery A. Smith, 19, of Poulsbo was driving south on 307 when his Acura Integra rear-ended a Toyota 4 Runner and empty horse trailer that was stopped to make a left turn onto Rova Road.

The driver of the 4 Runner, Eric A. Pfeffer, 39, of Tucson, Ariz., was not injured. His passenger, Alex A. Lane, 20, of Bremerton, was injured and transported, as was Smith.

All three were wearing seat belts, the State Patrol reported. Smith’s car and Pfeffer’s horse trailer were damaged and impounded by Gateway Tow.

According to State Patrol, Smith was cited for following too close and driving without insurance. Pfeffer was cited for defective lights and no turn signal.
