A Bremerton consignment store closed its doors in December and now 18 former vendors are looking to collect almost $7,000.

The vendors claim the owner of the Picket Fence Market, Annie Gambardella of Bremerton, failed to pay them for items sold in her store.

One member of the group, Jeff Haynie of Bainbridge Island, sued Gambardella, 45, in smalls claims in October 2014 citing failure to pay money owed for furniture consignment sales. Haynie, 53, won by default because Gambardella didn’t appear in court.

Gambardella said she failed to appear because the court date wasn’t on the papers given to her when she was served notice of the suit.

The group has stated they are pursuing legal action.
