PORT ORCHARD — The 76-year-old victim of a house fire on Horizon Lane in Port Orchard Feb. 7 has been identified as Joann Parham.

Two other occupants in the house were injured in the blaze and hospitalized.

The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office reported a small marijuana grow and an illegal butane honey oil extraction lab were discovered inside the home. From the photograph on the KCSO Facebook page, it appears the garage area suffered the most damage.

A Kitsap County deputy was sent to the hospital with injuries he received while trying to rescue the woman from the burning building.

Names of the injured men have not been released, pending notification of next of kin.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Kitsap County Fire Marshal.
