Over the last week, View Ridge Elementary has been broken into and vandalized four times, according to Bremerton School District Spokeswoman Patty Glaser.

“We are asking for neighbors of the school to keep an eye out for anything unusual and to contact the police immediately with any information,” a press release from the district stated.

It is unknown if anything has been taken, but the district has been led to believe it may be teenagers who are involved with the mischief, Glaser said.

“The police are aware of the break-ins and are continuing to investigate, but someone may know something that can help put a stop to this,” she said.

On June 27, the Bremerton Police Department responded to the school for a report of malicious damage to the school. According to an incident/investigation report, several windows were broken on the northwest end of the school. The windows appeared to have been shattered by rocks. “Vulgar graffiti” was also found painted on the walls in the same area. Damage for that particular event was estimated at $1,000, according to the BPD report.

There are currently no suspects.
