Heads up for North Kitsap commuters, parts of Viking Way in Poulsbo will be closed for resurfacing Monday through Thursday.

Starting at 7 a.m. Aug. 30 parts of Viking Way, between Highway 308 and Hallman Road, will be closed while the county resurfaces the road.

Southbound traffic will be open, but drivers should keep their eyes out for flaggers and other traffic control devices while northbound traffic will be directed to a detour route.

The road closure will run through Sept. 2, with the road reopening at 6 each evening.
