Volunteers needed for severe weather shelters

A two-hour training session is required for volunteers

PORT ORCHARD — Volunteers to help run severe weather shelters in Kitsap County between Nov. 1 and March 31 are being sought by Kitsap County’s Housing and Homelessness Program.

Volunteers will undergo a required two-hour training course prior to taking on a role in the shelters. The shelters are in Port Orchard, Silverdale, Poulsbo and Kingston.
