Wait lines at the Olympic View Transfer Station scale house will increase as the facility undergoes equipment overhauls from Jan. 17 to Jan. 21.

Much of the station’s aging equipment will be replaced, as will the computer operation system will be upgraded, according to a statement from the county.

The construction will likely slow traffic throughout the week, while no swipe card service will be available between Jan. 18 and 19.

Customers are advised to expect long lines and to arrive before 11 a.m., before traffic is normally the longest.

Residential customers may prefer to use other recycling and garbage facilities during this period, the statement said.
