Wall construction, slope work continues through Jan. 31

SILVERDALE — Wall construction continues through Jan. 31, along with removing trees and clearing slopes on either side of Silverdale Way, as part of the Silverdale Way Road Improvement Project.

Other work includes transferring individual water services to the new water main in Byron Street, and preparation work for the new curb and gutter located on the east side of Silverdale Way, Public Works reported.

There is no work scheduled for Jan. 27.

All businesses are open during construction. Keep traffic moving; plan ahead and scout an alternate route to your destination.

Alternating one-lane traffic will occur on Silverdale Way (south of Byron Street) for tree removal and wall construction.

Alternating one-lane traffic will occur on Byron Street to accommodate the water service work.

The southbound shoulder on Silverdale Way (from Lowell Street to Byron Street) remains closed for the wall construction.

Outside northbound lane of Silverdale Way (from Byron to Anderson Hill Road) will close as crews prepare for curb and gutter installation. The inside northbound lane will remain open for traffic.
