Walla Walla ferry crew instrumental in water rescue

Multiple people and a dog were rescued from Sinclair Inlet July 29, officials from Washington State Ferries reporting that its crew aboard the Walla Walla lept to action after a boat capsized just after its 6:40 p.m sailing from Bremerton to Seattle had begun.

A statement from WSF said crews launched a rescue boat after the vessel capsized, rescuing one person and a dog in the process while the other two people were rescued by responding fire and rescue crews and the U.S Coast Guard Pacific Northwest.

The person rescued by WSF crew members was treated for hypothermia and chest pains before care was transferred to EMTs.
