KITSAP COUNTY — Warrants were issued for the arrest of two transient level III sex offenders, who failed to register with Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office.

Two men, 20-year-old William Charles Moose and 24-year-old Ernie Sandoval Jr., who’s previously of Bremerton, were supposed to check in with the Kitsap County Sheriff Office (KCSO) Oct. 21. As of Monday, KCSO spokesman Scott Wilson said the department hasn’t heard from either man.

According to a KCSO press release, as transients the men were supposed to check in with the department each week.

According to court documents, Moose was released from prison May 27 after serving seven of his nine-month sentence for failing to register as a sex offender. Moose last checked in with KCSO Oct. 14.

Moose was convicted in 2005 of statutory seduction in Lander County, Nevada and served 298 days incarceration. In 2002, he was convicted of assault, fourth degree with sexual motivation. Sheriff documents describe Moose as about six-foot tall, with red hair, green eyes and about 175 pounds.

Sandoval, who was most recently released from prison Oct. 13, registered as a transient with KCSO but has yet to check in.

According to court documents, he was previously convicted of rape of a child, 3rd degree in Kitsap County Superior Court Sept. 2003. After serving 27 months, he was released July 2005.

Sandoval is described as five-foot, 10 inches tall, black shaved hair, brown eyes and about 160 pounds. He has numerous tattoos on his face, neck, arms, hands and torso.
