Weather Expert in Hansville

Cliff Mass, Pacific Northwest weather expert, to visit Hansville on June 7.

We in the Hansville area are in for a big treat. Greg Johnson of Skunk Bay Weather fame has helped bring Cliff Mass to the Hansville Community Center. Mass will be here at 7 p.m. June 7.

If you don’t know about Mass, let me fill you in on a few point of information:

— Mass is a professor of atmospheric sciences at the University of Washington.

— He was a member of the Meteorology Department at the University of Maryland.

— He is a weekly commentator on the KPLU radio station.

— He has published a book called “The Weather in the Pacific Northwest.”

— And so much more. (He has a blog for interaction with his followers: cliffmass.blogspot.com)

He will discuss are the technology for predicting weather events, his involvement in the acquisition of radar on the Washington Coast and more.
