POULSBO – The National Weather Service forecasts a chance of snow in Poulsbo late Dec. 28 as a storm moves over the Northwest.

It’s going to be a wet weekend. On Dec. 27, the forecast is for up to a quarter-inch of rain during the day, with high temperature near 46 and south wind at 6-11 mph becoming light and variable, according to the National Weather Service.

In the evening, showers are likely, with overnight low temperature of 38, and light and variable wind becoming north at 8-13 mph after midnight. Expect less than a 10th of an inch of rain, according to the National Weather Service.

Dec. 28, there’s a 30 percent chance of showers during the day, with a high temperature near 42 and north wind at 5-7 mph becoming west in the afternoon. In the evening, there’s a chance of rain showers before 10 p.m., then a chance of rain and snow showers. Overnight low temperature will be around 32, with north-northwest wind at 7-13 mph. Little or no snow accumulation is expected.

On Dec. 29-30, skies will be mostly sunny, with daytime temperatures in the high 30s.

New Year’s Eve – Wednesday, Dec. 31 – will be mostly sunny with a high near 36. Nighttime low temperatures will be around 25, with mostly clear skies.

2015 will begin with sunny skies, with daytime high temperature 39.
