KITSAP COUNTY — Washington State Ferries has scheduled meetings this month and in May in cities served by the marine transportation agency to gather input from ferry users for its long-range plan.
The meetings have been set “to better understand and plan for the changing needs of the system through 2040,” WSF said in a news release. The agency said a long-range plan is needed to prepare for a 30-percent growth in ferry ridership by 2040.
The meetings are scheduled as follows:
Bainbridge Island: 5:30-7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 17 at Bainbridge Island Senior Center, 370 Brien Drive SE, Bainbridge Island.
Port Townsend: 5-7 p.m., Thursday, April 19 at Cotton Building, 607 Water Street, Port Townsend.
Vashon Island: 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, April 24 at Vashon Island High School, 9600 SW 204th Street, Vashon.
Bremerton: 5:30-7:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 25 at Kitsap Conference Center, 100 Washington Ave., Bremerton.
Southworth: 6-8 p.m., Thursday, April 26 at John Sedgwick Junior High, 8995 SE Sedgwick Road, Port Orchard.
Kingston: 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, May 8 at Kingston Village Green Community Center, 26159 Dulay Road NE, Kingston.
