Alan R. Cunningham, 58
Former North Kitsap sports personality Alan Raymond Cunningham died June 16, 2004 in Puyallup. He was 58.
Cunningham was born to Harold and Dorothy Cunningham on Jan. 28, 1946 in Akron, Ohio.
At the time of his death, Cunningham was employed at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup as Director of Capital Projects. He also volunteered his time to manage the construction for Gilda’s Club in Seattle and was the “Voice of the Vikings” for North Kitsap High School wrestling and football for many years.
Cunningham is survived by his son Bradley of Seattle; daughter Lindsey Cunningham of Lawrence, Kan.; parents Harold and Dorothy Cunningham of Lenexa, Kan.; and sister Carol Joyce of Prairie Village, Kan.
A celebration of Cunningham’s life was held June 18 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup. Another celebration is slated for 4 p.m. June 19 at Gilda’s Club Seattle, 1400 Broadway, on Capitol Hill in Seattle.
