Alfred Jensen died May 12 at Martha & Mary in Poulsbo. He was 91.
He was born in Seattle Jan. 22, 1918, to Andrew and Kristine (Vasgard) Jensen. He lived with his parents on Luoto road until he married Ruby Anderson on April 25, 1941.
They lived in Keyport where he was employed by the government. They built a home at Keyport Junction and moved there in 1942. He was past patron of the O.E.S. 235 in Poulsbo. Jensen was also a life member of the Masons Warren G. Harding Lodge. He was president and also secretary of the Silverdale Mountain View Cemetery where he served more than 50 years helping to improve it. He was also a life member of the Sons of Norway Lodge.
Jensen retired from the Keyport Torpedo Station in 1973.
He is survived by sons, Daryl (Susan) of Poulsbo and Howard (Gail) of Suquamish; sister, Clara Sievert of Seattle; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
