Alfred S. McCrary, 101
Alfred S. McCrary of Poulsbo died Jan. 15, 2004 in Poulsbo. He was 101.
McCrary was born in Butler, Ga. on Jan. 9, 1903.
He married Thelma B. Wolff on May 7, 1931 in Seattle.
McCrary was the fifth of eight children. In 1909, his family moved to Seattle where he attended schools. He attended the University of Washington from 1923-24 and then joined John Davis Real Estate Company, where he handled commercial properties for 11 years.
In 1935, he began working for Henry Broderick Inc. as a commercial property manager and worked there for 27 years until his retirement in 1962. He was elected president of the Mutual Business Club in 1936.
The McCrarys moved to Agate Pass near Suquamish in 1958.
McCrary is survived by his sons Alfred R. McCrary and Frank R. McCrary; daughter Gloria F. Pomtier; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Thelma B. (Wolff) McCrary.
