Alvin Haag, Poulsbo

Alvin William Haag, Poulsbo, died April 25 at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton. He was 65 years old.

He was born Jan. 21, 1937 in Jackson County, Kan, to Rolland A. and Zella R. (Miller) Haag.

He graduated from Granger High School in Granger.

He served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1956 to 1960.

On May 28, 1960, he married Judy A. Haag in Friday Harbor.

He worked as an equipment operator for Puget Power. He was also a licensed taxidermist and served as a Scout master. He loved fishing and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife Judy of the family home in Poulsbo; son Mitchell A. Haag of Wasilla, Alaska; daughters Nancy L. Jones, Ellensburg; Barbara L. (Joe) Walker, Poulsbo; Halli J. (Nick) DePhillips of Port Orchard and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held today, April 27 at 3 p.m. at the Stone Chapel.

Arrangements are by Poulsbo Mortuary, “The Stone Chapel,” in Poulsbo.
