Anna Mae McKay, 80
Anna Mae McKay of Silverdale died on Feb. 26 in Bremerton. She was 80.
McKay was born July 6, 1927, in Ogilvie, Minn., to Sybron and Mae (Kiel) Robyn. She graduated from Puyallup High School in 1945, and on April 5, 1950 married Roy D. McKay in Tacoma. He preceded her in death in 1986.
McKay had a special relationship with her Lord that overflowed into her relationships with others. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Her love and concern for others were experienced by all who knew her. McKay was a homemaker and was involved in children’s ministry work for churches in Cle Elum, Quincy, and Poulsbo. She loved having guests and entertaining and enjoyed oil painting, sewing, baking, playing the auto harp and singing.
McKay is survived by her son, Dave (Cindy) of Poulsbo; daughter, Karen of Silverdale; brothers, Earl Robyn of Silverdale and Jack Robyn (Joyce) of Atlanta, Ga.; sisters, Eunice DeSoto (Harry) of Tacoma, Boots Cheslik of Auburn, and Rose Christofferson (Richard) of Auburn; five grandchildren, Gabriel, Michelle (Justin), Alicia, Jared and Amanda; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Kaylee and Brendan; and several nieces and nephews. Public visitation and funeral services were held at Christ Memorial Church Feb. 29. Burial is at Quincy Valley Cemetery at 11 a.m. today. Arrangements are entrusted to The Poulsbo Mortuary.
