Anna May Elizabeth Schwartzwalter died Sept. 29, 2006, from natural causes at Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton. She was 88.

Mrs. Schwartzwalter was born May 15, 1918, in Oklahoma City, the fifth of William and Elizabeth (Morrow) Mulhausen’s six children.

She married John Mathias Schaser in 1938 in Colorado and the couple was together until his death in 1958. She then married William Carah in 1962 in Sacramento, Calif. He died in 1968. Her last marriage came in 1972 when she married William Schwartzwalter. He died in California in 1989 and she moved to Bremerton to be near her son’s family.

Mrs. Schwartzwalter is survived by: her son Richard (Deanna) Schaser of Bremerton; grandchildren Matthew, Audrey, Adam, Luke, Beth, Alana, Leah and Jenna; grandchildren-in-law Lynette, Allan and Raymond; and great-grandchildren Karah, Laura, Celina and Eric Schaser and Tyler, Tiana and Tarah Church.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 9256 Nels Nelson Road, in Bremerton.
