Annie C. Abel, 81

Annie Clara Abel of Kingston died Dec. 1, 2004. She was 81.

Abel was born to John and Annie Wilson Jan. 16, 1923 in East Tallassee, Ala.

She married Roy Thomas Abel Jr. in 1941.

She worked at an ice cream parlor where she met her husband and a munitions factory during World War II.

Abel enjoyed listening and playing music, writing her own country music songs and reading her Bible.

She is survived by her sons Edward Abel of Apache Junction, Ariz., James Abel of Venice, Calif., William Abel of Kingston and Robert Abel of Indianola; sisters Ruth Buckner of Poulsbo and Frances Tomlin of Riverside, Ala.; and three grandchildren.

Abel was preceded in death by Roy Abel, Thomas Abel and John Abel.

Services were held Dec. 4 in Kingston.
