Arnold E. Lund, 83

Suquamish resident Arnold E. Lund died Jan. 22, 2004 in Suquamish. He was 83.

He was born to John and Ane Marta Andersen (Soraunet) Lund in Lake Forest Park on Sept. 6, 1920.

Lund married Dorothy Halver on March 23, 1941 in Washington.

He was enlisted in the U.S. Army and was a World War II veteran.

Lund worked as a logger and log truck driver for Arness Logging before retiring in 1978.

He enjoyed fishing, camping, being a handyman and fixing things up for other people.

He is survived by daughter Vicki (Raul) Turrieta of Poulsbo; brother Donald of Eglon; sister Marsha of Bremerton; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Lund was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, daughter Diane and son Stanley.

A memorial service will at 1 p.m. Jan. 30 at the Kingston Christian Church. An inurnment at the Eglon Cemetery will take place in the family plot at a later date.
