Axel John Noll, Poulsbo, died Jan. 24 in Poulsbo. He was 87 years old.
He was born Feb. 6, 1914 in Hollywood, Wash. to Karl Axel Emil Noll and Oleanna (Johnson) Noll.
He attended Lemolo Grade School and Poulsbo High School.
For more than 40 years he worked at Globe Union, where he retired as sales manager in 1975.
He married Dorothy Blanche Schumacher on Sept. 5, 1998 in Poulsbo.
He was very active in community service clubs and enjoyed flower gardening and fly fishing. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Poulsbo.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy of the family home in Poulsbo; brother Fred (Artie) Lupton, Seattle; sister Amanda (Clifford) Jensen, Poulsbo; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth (Richardson) Noll in 1988; son Richard Allen Noll; brothers and sisters Oscar Noll, Augusta Brauer, John Noll, Agnes Noll, Alice Bjorgen, Olive Connor and Edward Noll.
Graveside services were held Jan. 28 at Abbey View Memorial Park in Brier.
A memorial service was held on Jan. 29 at First Lutheran Church in Poulsbo.
