Barbara Earling Lindeberg of Bainbridge Island died Nov. 13, 2007 at Martha & Mary. She was 79.

Lindeberg was born to Roy B. and Mary (Gazzam) Earling in Seattle on Nov. 27, 1927.

She married Lytle Lindeberg.

Lindeberg graduated from Middlebury College in Vermont, and was the first art history major graduate at the college.

She was an avid artist. Her family settled on Bainbridge Island shortly after 1900.

Lindeberg is survived by her daughters Chris Lindeberg of Bainbridge Island and Mandy Lindeberg of Juneau, Alaska; sister Nancy Allen of California; and grandchildren Jennifer and Caleb Stirckland.

Lindeberg was preceded in death by her husband Lytle Lindeberg and her sister Mary Lou Ellis.

At Lindeberg’s request, there will be no formal services.
