Bethal Downey Fraser, formerly of Indianola, died Dec. 7 in Yuma, Ariz. He was 91 years old.
He was born June 20, 1910 in Waterville to Henry and Laura (Potter) Fraser.
He graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1929 and the University of Washington in 1932.
During World War II, he was a member of the Merchant Marines.
He married Eleanor Engle and they lived on Indianola Road (Miller Bay) for 30 years and raised their family there.
For many years he was a rural mail carrier.
He also served as assistant postmaster at the Poulsbo Post Office.
He was Past Master of Lincoln Heights Grange, a member of the Suquamish Congregational Church, a member of Sierra Vista Presbyterian Church; past master of Warren G. Harding Masonic Lodge in Poulsbo and Port Gamble Masonic Lodge #5 in Port
