Betty Joyce Roberts of Poulsbo died Nov. 3, 2003. She was 73.

Roberts was born to Foster A. and Clara L. (George) Jones in Port Gamble on Oct. 8, 1930.

She married Earl F. Roberts in Port Gamble.

Roberts attended school through the 10th grade in Poulsbo.

She was a homemaker.

She enjoyed crocheting and baking. She was an active member of United Full Gospel Church in Little Boston.

Roberts is survived by her sons Rick Roberts and Tony Roberts both of Suquamish; daughters Earleen Zardiackas of Morgan Hill, Calif., G. Mae Affonce of Bremerton, Lucille Cayenne of Oakville and Juanita “Skeeter” Specht of Poulsbo; brothers Dan, Floyd, Gene, Jake, Bill and Don; sisters Ginger, Geneva Ives; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Earl F. Roberts; brother Bob Jones; sisters Helen Nicholson and Leola Sparks; and grandson Cameron Affonce.

A memorial service was held Nov. 6.
