Betty Lou Abrott, 54
Betty Lou (Lay) Abrott of Kingston died June 28, 2004 in Bremerton. She was 54.
Abrott was born to Kenneth H. and Nellie M. (Burt) Tiahrt in Aberdeen, Idaho on Dec. 11, 1949.
She married Thomas D. Abrott on Sept. 18, 1997 in Port Townsend.
Abrott graduated from Pasadena High School in Pasadena, Calif. in 1967 and also attended Olympic College.
She worked as a lab technician and was also a housewife.
Abrott enjoyed walking, hiking, working out, leg wrestling and spending time at the beach with family. She was also fond of lighthouses, particularly the Sequim-Dungeness lighthouse.
Abrott is survived by her husband Thomas D. Abrott of Kingston; sons Joshua M. (Grace) Guthrie of Folsom, Calif., Nathan J. Lay of San Francisco, Calif. and Kenny B. (Heather D. Brazelton) Lay of San Diego, Calif.; stepson Scott T. Abrott of Seattle; stepdaughter Donna M. Abrott of Pleasanton, Calif.; sister Peggy A. (Robert F.) Beardsley of Victorville, Calif.; father Kenneth H. Tiahrt of Kingston; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother Nellie M. (Burt) Tiahrt.
Services were held July 2 at The Stone Chapel in Poulsbo.
