Betty Wilson
Betty Alice Wilson of Poulsbo died April 25 in Montclair Park/Haven Crest due to an illness associated with Alzheimer’s.
Wilson was born in New Westminister, B.C., in 1923. She married George M. Wilson and lived most of her life in the Seattle area.
She graduated from Ballard High School in 1941. Wilson enjoyed music, traveling, reading and was an avid gardener, golfer, tennis player and skier. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Wilson is survived by her son, Steven M. Wilson of Manson; her daughter, Christine W. Cercone of Bainbridge Island; her brother, Douglas Putnam of Edmonds; grandchildren Jamison and Jason West, Ashley Wilson, Danielle Cercone; and her many nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
Wilson was preceded in death by her husband, George M. Wilson, her daughter, Kathy L. Wilson, and sister Lorraine Diede.
A celebration of Betty’s life will be at 2 p.m. May 4 at Kiana Lodge, 14976 Sandy Hook Road NE in Poulsbo.
