Beverly Wayne King, of Port Orchard, died on July 6, 2005, at home.
She was 84.
She was born on June 6, 1921, in Landis, Saskatchewan, to Raymond and Winnie (Dyce) Smith.
She married Henry Lee King on June 26, 1948, in Oakland, Calif.
She attended Bible Baptist College in Springfield, Mo.
She was a homemaker, Sunday schoolteacher and church bookkeeper.
She helped her husband found Bible Baptist Church in Port Orchard in the 1960s and headed up the Vacation Bible School program.
She is survived by sons John King of Silverdale and Frank King of Port Orchard; daughters Teresa (and husband Dennis) Wauneka of New Mexico and Marilyn Langille of Alberta, Canada; sisters Gladys Sgobba of San Diego, Calif., Violet (and husband Larry) Gibson of Port Orchard, and Rae Curran of Woodinville; and 14 children and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by sister Beatrice Smith.
A memorial service was held at Westside Baptist Church in Bremerton on July 9, followed by burial at Tahoma National Cemetery.
