Bob Allen of Poulsbo died Nov. 4, 2003. He was 47.
Allen was born to Frank and Mary Allen in Palo Alto, Calif. on Sept. 13, 1956.
He married Kendra D. Gearhart on Aug. 10, 1985 in San Luis Obisbo, Calif.
Allen graduated from Woodside High School in Woodside, Calif. in 1974 and then from Oregon State University in Corvalis, Ore. with a bachelor’s of science degree in industrial arts in 1979 and a master’s degree in education in 1988.
He worked as a teacher at North Kitsap High School from 1989-2001 and then as a professor at Olympic College from 2001-2003.
Allen loved teaching. He enjoyed golf, softball, wood working and spending time with his labrador retrievers Edie and Jed. He was an award-winning home brewer.
Allen is survived by his wife Kendra Allen of Poulsbo; brothers Steve (Margo) Allen of Beaverton, Ore. and Rick (Jan) Allen of Durham, Ore.; sister Janet Allen of Alameda, Calif.; and parents Frank and Mary Allen of Bend, Ore.
A memorial service was held on Nov. 11 at Miller Woodlawn Funeral Home in Bremerton.
